Bloomingdale Golf Club

Originally opened in 1924 as Glendale Golf Course, Bloomingdale Golf Club is an affordable public parkland layout with four sets of tees to suit every level of player. The course, which was originally designed by Tom Bendelow, in 1996 was sold to the village of Bloomingdale, which has been making improvements ever since. The first started with a renovation by noted architect Bob Lohmann. The result of the makeover is a par 71 course that plays 6,192 yards from the tips. There are challenging bentgrass greens, a variety of doglegs, mature oak trees and water that comes into play on several holes. The no. 1 handicap hole is the par-5 eighth, which plays 575 yards from the back set of four tee boxes. Bloomingdale Golf Club also offers good practice facilities that include a driving range and putting green. Inside the 13,000-square-foot clubhouse is a golf shop, grill and banquet facilities for special events.
