Tijeras Creek

Tijeras Creek Golf Club, a well-maintained layout located just minutes from Orange County's John Wayne International Airport, is a championship golf course with plenty of nice views, great shot values and a good variety of holes. Designed by Ted Robinson and opened in 1990, the par-72 course has six sets of tees, ranging from 4,098 yards to 7.003 yards. The course is basically a tale of two nines with water coming into play on several of the front nine holes, while the back nine has more elevation change and great views. The course has plenty of strategic bunkers and mature sycamores, oaks and native chaparral trees. The no. 1 handicap is the par-4 third, which plays 472 yards. The 172-yard par-3 16th, which cuts through a chute of trees to a green fronted by a bunker, has been named as one of the best 18 holes in the county by members of the Southern California PGA. Tijeras Creek Golf Club also offers a driving range, putting green and short-game practice area. A restaurant, banquet facilities and golf shop are located in the clubhouse.
