Cabo del Sol's Ocean Course – at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, along the 20-mile corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo – is the centerpiece of the 1,800-acre residential resort community of Cabo del Sol. Opened for play in March of 1994, the Ocean Course is described by designer Jack Nicklaus as having "the three finest finishing holes in all of golf." This 18-hole, award-winning course stretches for more than a mile along the Sea of Cortés, with seven of its holes along the coastline. Challenging and beautiful, The Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol makes for an extraordinary golf experience for all levels of players. The superb layout of the course allows for golfers to use all the clubs in their bags, from any of the five sets of tees. Among its many accolades, the course has placed in Golf Magazine's list of the Top 100 Courses in the World. Golf Digest's reader's poll voted it one of the Top 10 Public Courses; Golf Digest also gave it a five-star rating for places to play in 1998 and 1999. Cabo del Sol was the host of the 1995 and 1998 SENIOR PGA TOUR Senior Slams and Shell's Wonderful World of Golf in 1996.
