Located in Wheaton, IL, Cantigny Golf opened in 1989 and was recognized by Golf Digest as the "Best New Public Course in America." Twenty-five years later, Cantigny is recognized as one of the finest public golf facilities in the Midwest. The superbly maintained 27-hole championship golf course is the centerpiece of this special venue providing a "private club experience" for all ages and skill levels. Hillside may be the shortest of the three nine holes but has some of the toughest holes on the course. The first and ninth holes (Par 4s) demands a tee shot that gets far enough past the trees on the side of the fairway to allow a shot to the green. The 6th green (a double green with Woodside #8) is completely surrounded by water and the two-tiered seventh green is a difficult two-putt if you are on the wrong tier. Pick your clubs wisely to score on this nine.
