El Rio-Trini Alvarez Golf Course in Tucson, Arizona, dates back to the 1930s, and was the original site of the PGA’s Tucson Open. The 18-hole golf course was operated as a country club until 1968 when the City of Tucson acquired it for public use. El Rio features tight fairways, small greens, relatively flat terrain, two lakes and numerous trees. The golf course is the oldest of the Tucson City courses and is the easiest to walk.
