The oldest public golf course in the state, Fenwick Golf Course in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, is a fun nine-hole course located at the mouth of the Connecticut River that has been challenging players since 1894. Fenwick is a links-style course that mimics the classic layouts found on the coasts of Scotland and Ireland. The first nine-hole layout at Fenwick was completed in 1896 and the 6th hole green is still in its original location and is the oldest green in the state.
