Cut out of the woods along the Pine River in St. Louis, Michigan, Hidden Oaks Golf Course brings golfers the playability of an Upper Peninsula golf course in the “Middle of the Mitten.” Originally designed by the father and son duo of Bruce and Jerry Matthews in 1970 as a nine-hole course called Edgewood Hills, Hidden Oak became a complete 18-hole track after Jerry Matthews designed the additional nine holes in 1999. The front nine at Hidden Oaks focuses on challenging golfers tee shots and putting while the back nine makes golfers fine tune their approach and their hubris. The combination of a challenging layout along with the Pure Michigan atmosphere makes Hidden Oaks Golf Course a must play in the northern part of the country.
