Hilldale Golf Club, located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois (40 minutes northwest of Chicago), was built in 1970 on land that was once a sportsman's club owned by the famous retailer Marshall Field. It's known for its great conditions and has been called "the best greens in the burbs." Hilldale Golf Course is a par 71 course that offers challenges to golfers of any kind. Precise shot-making and proper club selection is required. Regardless of your skill, you might use all the clubs in your bag. Some holes at Hilldale favor a fairway wood or long iron from the tee. Several holes also require you to position your shots for better angles to the green, affording plenty of risk-and-reward opportunities to keep the gamblers happy. Water comes into play on 13 holes, and be wary of the O.B. stakes.
