The Pete Dye Resort Course at Westin Mission Hills is located in Rancho Mirage, California, a resort city 25 minutes southeast of Palm Springs. Conceived by premier golf course architect Pete Dye, the playable layout will test the ability of tour professionals and provide an enjoyable experience for the average golfer. The Pete Dye Resort Course is the first course of the multi-planned resort and golf community and one of the area's loveliest but toughest courses. Located in the heart of the Coachella Valley and surrounded by mountains, the course features target fairways, elevated greens, pot bunkers, lakes and a variety of plant materials for 18 of the most extraordinary holes you'll ever play. It plays to 6,706 yards at a par of 70. Between Westin Mission Hills’ two golf courses, the Pete Dye Course presents more of a visual intimidation factor, whereas with the Gary Player course, what you see is what you get. The Gary Player course is longer, at 7,062 yards and playing to a par 72.
