Spanish for “beautiful view,” Bella Vista is a city known for its outdoor recreation opportunities, including world-class mountain biking. Located on the Springfield Plateau of the Ozark Mountains, the topography includes plenty of forests, valleys, creeks and steep rises. The Bella Vista Museum and the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel are among the attractions in Bella Vista, which has quite a few good local restaurants as well. The golf in the area, however, is exceptional. Most notably, Bella Vista Country Club, which is semi-private, is a golf course community that includes six 18-hole layouts, including the oldest in the region, the Country Club Course, as well as an executive course.
