This suburb of Denver, which has grown from just a few hundred residents a few decades ago to nearly 50,000 people today, boasts art shows, festivals, plenty of entertainment, great local eateries and pubs and lots to do outdoors. Festivals include the Parker Days Festival, which features food, music and carnival rides, every June as well as the Fall Festival and Reapers Hollow at Flat Acres Farms in the fall. Parker is known for its Western Victorian downtown, and it has over 750 acres of parks. It’s also a pretty good area for golfers with several courses in the area. Among there are several excellent private clubs, but there are some courses open to the public, including Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club and Saddle Brook Golf Course, both in nearby Aurora.
