Best Golf Courses Near Columbus, IN
A northwest suburb of Indianapolis, Columbus is a city of around 50,000 people that’s known for its outstanding architecture. Columbus’ downtown mixes 20th century masterpieces with 19th century classics. Famous architects like I.M. Pei and Eero Saarinen have designed buildings there as Columbus has been named America’s sixth best city for architectural innovation by the American Institute of Architects. A prime example is the Miller House and Gardens, modernist architecture that feels like it could be used for the set of “Mad Men.” The city offers way more than buildings, though, with a cool restaurant and pub scene that includes the likes of the North Brewing Co., and the Henry Social Club. There are also plenty of golf courses in Columbus. Among the most popular is the 27-hole Otter Creek Golf Course. The original 18 holes were designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1964. Son Rees Jones renovated and added another nine holes in 1995.
