The home of Ball State University and some iconic images, Muncie is a medium-sized city with museums, parks, plenty of restaurants, bars and other points of interest. Muncie was also the home of the Ball Corporation, known for its metal and glass containers, for more than a century. Sometimes referred to as “Little Chicago,” from its prohibition days of the 1920s, Muncie is also where the comic strip “Garfield” was created and where famed painter Bob Ross did his show.
