Best Golf Courses Near Richmond, KY
A small city with a rich history, Richmond has two state parks, vineyards and plenty of local eateries and other fun things to do. Located in the heart of the Bluegrass region right off Interstate 75, the city’s roots go back to before Kentucky became a state. Its history includes famous figures like Kit Carson and Daniel Boone. Two if the biggest attractions are White Hall, a mansion constructed in the 1700s, and Fort Boonesborough, the site of the second-largest Civil War Battlefield, which is part of the Civil War Trust National Discovery Trail and the Kentucky Civil War Heritage Trail. Golf in the Richmond area is pretty impressive, too, with several courses open to the public. Among the best and most popular is Gibson Bay Golf Course, rated nearly five stars on GolfPass. The facility includes both a championship course that plays more than 7,100 yards as well as a par-3 course.
