Best Golf Courses Near Haverhill, MA
Quite possibly the shoemaking capital of the United States in the early 20th century, Haverhill is a city known for its rich history as well as its current livability. Today, this community of just under 80,000 people located 35 miles north of Boston, has plenty of eateries, pubs, a couple museums, parks and plenty of golf courses in the area. It’s a great pace to tour historic homes, some of which go back to the 1600s, or take in a museum, like the Museum of Painting, which explores the history of graphic arts and printing. Craft beer enthusiasts will enjoy The Tap, which is located downtown. It’s a perfect place to visit after taking in one of the many golf courses in Haverhill and its surrounding area. The Brian Silva-designed Renaissance Golf Club is one of the best, but it is private, while the nearby Bradford Country Club, designed by Silva as well as Geoffrey Cornish, is a great public golf option.
