Located in Bristol County southwest of Boston, Norton is a bedroom community and the home of Wheaton College, originally chartered for women in 1835. The college is now co-ed and Norton has a population on just under 20,000 people. There are restaurants and parks nearby as well as recreation areas like the Gilbert Hills State Forest, a 1,027-acre, pine and oak forest located in the towns of Foxborough and Wrentham just to the north. Norton is close to Gillette Stadium, where the NFL’s New England Patriots play. This is also where visitors can see the Patriots Hall of Fame, a popular tourist attraction.
