Best Golf Courses Near Rehoboth, MA
One of the state’s oldest and most historic towns, Rehoboth is located in southeastern Massachusetts with a little more than 12,000 residents. It’s known as the birthplace of public education and still has an excellent educational system today. Visitors, however, will enjoy the historic sites, like Anawan Rock, a key part of early settlers’ lives in the 1600s. Overlooking the Squannakonk Swamp, the site is great for viewing the local forest and following historic trails on pleasant hikes. Elisha Allen House is another historic attraction, built in 1759 and now open for tours. Or check out Briggs Tavern, built in 1780, and still serving today. Or be sure to visit the Carpenter Museum, which has more than 6,000 materials, photographs and archival objects in its collection. Rehoboth is also rich with golf courses, both public and private. Hazelton Golf Club offers a nice 18-hole layout to the public, while Hillside Country Club is a semi-private facility that offers a nine-hole course.
