Best Golf Courses Near Brighton, MI

Brighton is a prosperous northwest Detroit suburb of about 8,000 people, offering plenty to do and see. There are bike trails, outdoor music venues, watersports on the lake, plenty of shopping, local restaurants and a pretty vibrant golf scene. The public golf courses in the area are especially good, and there are plenty to choose from, like the highly-rated municipal Huron Meadows, designed by Sue Nyquist, Huntmore Golf Club, which plays more than 7,000 yards from the tips and Oak Pointe Country Club, a 36-hole semiprivate facility. But that’s just a small sampling because if you venture just a few miles farther out in nearby communities, there are plenty of other good to great public golf courses, not the least of which is Coyote Preserve Golf Club, which has a northern Michigan feel without the drive.
