Best Golf Courses Near Commerce Township, MI
Located about 15 miles northwest of Detroit, the suburb of Commerce Charter Township has something to offer everyone, including quality golf choices. This mix of houses, shops and even a farm here and there is a perfect setting for families and visitors who want to participate in some of the more serene aspects of life. There are good schools, parks, nice local restaurants, a couple of local breweries and a few sports bars. The golf scene has some good local options, and just a few miles away, there are plenty more. More focused in Commerce Charter Township itself, though, one nice public golf course option is Beacon Hill Golf Club, which opened in 1999 and offers an interesting layout with good course conditions. The township also has a solid private course, Edgewood Country Club, which opened in 1928 and was renovated by Michigan’s own Arthur Hills in 1989. But venture just a few miles out, and there are many more options, like 27-hole Mystic River, a very popular metro Detroit daily fee; muni Lyons Oaks in Wixom and Pontiac (Mich.) Country Club, which is actually semi-private.
