Best Golf Courses Near Ludington, MI
One of the most popular tourist destinations in Michigan, Ludington is known for its beaches, boating, swimming and lighthouses. Located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Pere Marquette River, the area also has some smaller inland lakes that provide recreational opportunities. The city, which is just under 10,000 residents, also features plenty of restaurants, pubs and breweries. Each year, it plays host to a large basketball tournament, freedom festival, half marathon and art fair. The golf scene is also outstanding with several top notch public courses. Lincoln Hills Golf Club, for example, is a semi-private 18-hole facility that goes back to the 1920s and was designed by Tom Bendelow. Hemlock Golf Club is a Ray Hearn layout open to the public. It plays nearly 7,000 yards from the tips. And Lakeside Links Golf Course is a 27-hole public course that plays along Lake Hopkins.
