Best Golf Courses Near Marquette, MI
For outdoor enthusiasts, Marquette is hard to beat. Located on Lake Superior on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, there are more than 100 miles of hike and bike trails, fishing on inland or the Great Lake, and plenty to do in town, including local eateries and brewpubs. There’s also some stellar golf, led by semi-private Marquette Golf Club, which has two exceptional golf courses. Greywalls at Marquette GC is a Mike DeVries-designed gem that makes great use of the rock outcroppings and natural hill topography to create dramatic holes and difficult greens. Marquette GC’s other layout, the Heritage Course, was designed by William Langford and David Gill and opened in 1926. Other public play options in Marquette include the Northern Michigan University Course as well as the nine-hole Gentz’s Homestead Course.
