Best Golf Courses Near Ottawa Lake, MI

Ottawa Lake Michigan is a small unincorprated community in Monroe County, located just north of the Ohio border and near the suburbs of Toledo, Ohio. It’s a great place to raise a family and stay outdoors, like visiting a local orchard or pumpkin farm. There’s also a lot of golf right in Ottawa Lake. In particular, the late Arthur Hills — who played on the Michigan State University golf team and designed more than 200 courses, including many in the Wolverine State – crafted The Legacy Golf Club, a highly-rated public facility right in Ottawa Lake. Whiteford Valley is another public course in the community. It offers 27 holes to the public. And Sand Wedge Golf Club, a short par 70 course, is joined by two nine hole courses Cherrywood and Quarry Ridge. Just outside of Ottawa Lake, you’ll find dozens of other courses on both sides of the Michigan-Ohio border, including Giant Oak Golf Club, another Hills design in Temperance, Michigan, as well as 27-hole Spuyten Duyval Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio.
