Best Golf Courses Near Dublin, OH
Named by an Irish traveler who arrived in the area more than 200 years ago, Dublin does indeed have a big Irish festival each year, plus many more attractions and festivals. But this suburb of Columbus is probably best known for the presence of Ohio’s favorite son, the great Jack Nicklaus, who built his beloved Muirfield Village Golf Club, which is inspired by both Augusta National and, of course, the courses in Scotland. Muirfield Village is also the home for the PGA Tour’s Memorial Tournament, which always features the biggest names in the game. The club is private, but there is no shortage of public golf available in Muirfield and its surrounding communities. One of the most popular is Safari Golf Club, which is located next to the zoo. The course was redone in 2012 by architect Michael Hurdzan. Other popular options open to the public include the links-style Golf Club of Dublin, also designed by Hurdzan and partner Dana Fry, and the Kinsdale Golf & Fitness Club, an Arthur Hills layout that plays nearly 7,300 yards.
