Best Golf Courses Near Elyria, OH

Located at the forks of the Black River in northeastern Ohio about 20 miles southwest of Cleveland, Elyria is a city of around 55,000 people, known for being the home of several large companies like Invacare health equipment and Ridge Tools Co., maker of Ridgid Tools. It also has its fair share of restaurants, museums, bars and parks, including Black River Reservation, which has plenty of great walking trails and scenery. The area also has a nice selection of golf courses. They include Valley of the Hills Golf Course, a Nicklaus Design layout that plays nearly 7,000 yards. Other good 18-hole public facilities in Elyria include Forest Hills Golf Course and Pine Brook Golf Links next door in Grafton. For a quick round, Cherry Hills Country Club, which is open to the public, is a nice nine-hole layout in Elyria.
