Best Golf Courses Near Findlay, OH
Known as Flag City, USA, Findlay offers a university, unique shops and restaurants and plenty of other things to see and do. The city, which is about 40 miles south of Toledo, got its nickname because of its history of community enthusiasm during Flag Day. Home of the private Findlay University, it’s also the headquarters for several major corporations, including Cooper Tire and Marathon Petroleum, which funded the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts. A couple of local institutions — the historic Wilson Sandwich Shop and Dietsch Brothers Fine Chocolates and Ice Cream — are main attractions. Golfers also enjoy the area. Public courses include the semi-private Red Hawk Run Golf Club, which plays nearly 7,200 yards and was designed by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest. Hillcrest Golf Club is another 18-hole option open to the public in Findlay.
