Best Golf Courses Near Hamilton, OH
Named for America’s first treasury secretary, Alexander Hamilton, the city of Hamilton is located 20 miles north of Cincinnati, offering a variety of attractions and experiences. With a population of around 65,000, Hamilton has museums, historical buildings, monuments, breweries, a couple of wineries and nice selection of golf courses open to the public. Among the most highly-rated golf facilities is Hamilton Elks Golf Club, which has an 18-hole Donald Ross course that first opened in 1925 as well as another nine holes designed by Michael Hurdzan more than 70 years later. Walden Ponds Golf Course is also designed by Hurdzan as well as partner Dana Friday. It’s a terrific 18-hole layout that plays more than 7,000 and is open to the public. There are also several nice private clubs in the area and scores of other public golf options available in Hamilton and the neighboring communities.
