Best Golf Courses Near Lancaster, OH

Known of its numerous well-preserved historic homes, including the Sherman House Museum, Lancaster is a quiet community about 30 miles southeast of Columbus. The town, which has about 40,000 people, offers plenty of local restaurants, pubs, green space, local shopping and the Sherman House, which was the childhood home of politician and statesman John Sherman and his older brother, the Union Army general William T. Sherman. The Ohio Glass Museum, Historic Aircraft Squadron and Shallenberger State Nature Preserve are other attractions. Lancaster also has a fair share of golf courses, including several open to the public. Popular choices include the par-74 Valley View Golf Club and Pumpkin Pine Golf Course, a shortish par-71 layout. Pleasant Valley Golf Course has both executive and par-3 layouts.
