Best Golf Courses Near Stow, OH
A suburb of Akron, Stow is a quiet community with parks, local eateries and plenty to do outdoors, including fishing and swimming. The city of around 35,000 people was named after one of its original proprietors, John Stow, who more than 200 years ago hailed the landscape of hills, valleys, streams and lakes as “one of the prettiest and most romantic spots in the Western Reserve.” These features also make for a good palette for golf courses, and Stow has a few good choices open to the public. Fox Run Country Club, for example, is a highly rated layout that plays around 6,800 yards from the tips. And Stow’s municipal layout, Fox Den Golf Course, is another great place to play. The course, which opened in 1966, is a par 72 that plays a little more than 6,500 yards from the tips.
