The former home of the Packard Motor Car Co., Warren is prosperous and quiet small city located in eastern Ohio. Starting in 1899, the Packard was produced for the next 60 years in Warren before closing, but you can still see an amazing collection of Packard automobiles at the National Packard Museum in Warren. There’s also the W.D. Packard Music Hall in Warren, as well as the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum, Trumbull Art Gallery and scores of local restaurants, pubs, public parks and a few golf courses. Public golf venues include Avalon Lakes Golf Course, a wonderful and challenging Pete Dye/Tim Liddy design that can be stretched to more than 7,500 yards. Other choices for the public golfer are municipal Old Avalon Golf Course as well as Cranberry Hills, a nine-hole course.
