Best Golf Courses Near Youngstown, OH
An old steel city, Youngstown has evolved into a community with plenty to see and do. The city of 65,000 people, which sits between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, Pa., is home to a few firsts, like the original Arby’s Restaurant and one of the first shopping malls post World War II. It’s also where actor Ed O’Neill (Modern Family) grew up. There are breweries, art museums, historic sites like Lanterman’s Mill, antique shops and plenty of parks, such as Mill Creek Metro Park, which features 36 holes of municipal golf designed by Donald Ross. That’s just a sampling of the more than 30 courses in the area, which also includes Pine Lakes Golf Course, which opened in 1929, and Knoll Run Golf Course, both open to the public.
