Best Golf Courses Near Clarksville, TN
Clarksville is a historic city on the Cumberland River in North Tennessee. One of the city’s unique attractions is Dunbar Cave State Park, which features an elaborate cave complex and numerous sinkholes. Abutting the park is Swan Lake Golf Course, Clarksville’s full-length muni. The playing field starts on flat ground and moves to hilly terrain on the back nine. Mason Rudolph Golf Course, Clarksville’s other muni facility, is a 9-hole, par-30 executive-style course named after a native son who won five times on the PGA Tour. Eastland Green Golf Club is a shotmaker’s course that shifts from flat to hilly ground. The most unique course in Clarksville is the picturesque River Club Golf and Learning Center. Although there are only nine fairways at River Club, you can play the course as either a 9- or 18-hole layout because each fairway features two greens. Another course to consider—and one where you may find a tee time discount—is Western Hills Golf Club, a player-friendly layout where you won’t find any houses to distract you in nearby Hopkinsville, Kentucky. After golf, Clarksville has a couple of museums that rate as top attractions, as does the Old Glory Distilling Company which specializes in producing a cherished beverage in Tennessee—whiskey.
