Best Golf Courses Near Superior, WI
On Superior Bay at the head of Lake Superior, the cities of Superior, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota form Twin Ports, which together constitute the world’s largest freshwater port. Golf in Superior is nothing so grandiose, but players do have a choice of two eighteens at Nemadji Golf Course and the nine-hole Pattison Park Golf Course, a short course. At Nemadji the choice comes down to a preference for the longer, more up-and-down and more scenic East/ West eighteen, or the flatter, easier, and more popular North/South routing. Over in Duluth, Enger Park Golf Club, a 27-hole muni facility comprising parkland, traditional, and links-style nines, rambles on a bluff that provides breathtaking vistas of Duluth harbor. A little farther afield back in Solon Springs, Wisconsin, you may be able to score a discounted tee time at Hidden Hills North, one of Golf Advisor’s top-rated Wisconsin courses. For still better golf, bear in mind that Duluth has traditionally been the jumping off point for the acclaimed courses of Minnesota’s Iron Range 70 miles to the north.
