Silver Creek Golf Club, in Show Low, Arizona, is a 6,813-yard, par-71 championship golf course that was designed by Gary Panks and opened in 1985. As the first course he designed, it's still one of his favorites and considered some of his best work. The juniper covered hills surround the fairways, breaking them up just enough to cause trouble while still being serene. With three sets of tees, the course is a great test for low handicaps, to juniors and seniors. As one would expect on a Panks' course, the greens can be tricky and will break harshly at times, so it'll be important to take time reading your putts. There's a great practice area at Silver Creek Golf Club that has 10,000 square foot putting green and a driving range that has targets set-up at 100, 150 and 200 yards. After you've put in your work on the course, playing or practicing, head over to Sandbaggers Bar & Grill to enjoy a hot meal, whether it be breakfast or lunch.
