The Cattail Course at Whirlwind Golf Club, in Chandler, Arizona is a 7,334-yard, par-72 championship golf course part of the Troon Golf Family and located within Wild Horse Pass. Another classic Gary Panks desert course design, the layout preserves the Gila River Indian Community's rich land by developing the holes around its natural beauty. Native grasses and rolling terrains will make your approach shots difficult at times, but not impossible. Finding the fairways will be in your best interest as going off the path can lead to obstructed shots into the greens as there are plenty of Cottonwood, Mesquite, Saguaro and Palo Verde trees blocking the way home. The multi-tiered greens are guarded by deep bunkers on the Cattail Course at Whirlwind Golf Club making every hole exciting and challenging. If a well-maintained golf course isn't enough, you'll also have gorgeous views of the Sierra Estrella Mountains, which offer some of the best sunsets in the state. A full practice area is available before teeing off so be sure to arrive a little early.
