A Donald Ross gem, Manchester Country Club is a must-play for anyone fortunate to be a member or guest of this wonderful private club. The course, which opened in 1923, is a par-71 that plays longer than its tips yardage of 6,833 yards. Rated 73.0 from the back set of five sets of tees, this parkland layout has a great combination of shorter and long holes, plenty of difficult greens and bunkers and a lake in the middle of the back nine that adds even more challenge to the course. The no. 1 handicap hole is the par-4 17th, which plays 453 yards from the back tee. The aforementioned lake is left of the fairway. Each hole feels intimate on this very walkable golf course. In addition to the course, Manchester Country Club has excellent practice facilities that include a driving range, short-game area and putting green, as well as an indoor simulator. The clubhouse has a well-stocked golf shop, restaurant, banquet facilities and beautiful locker rooms.
