Designed by Gary Player, Steele Canyon Golf Course is a 27-hole layout that features three distinctly different nines. With five different sets of tees, the courses are suitable for all levels of players. Two of the nines are par 35s, the Canyon and the Vineyard, which play as long as 3,217 yards and 3,344 yards respectively. The Ranch Course is a 3,564-yard par 36 layout. There's also a set of "family tees" designed for juniors on one of the nines, as well as special rates for juniors playing those nine holes. As for the overall layout, Steele Canyon is rated 4 ½ stars by Golf Digest and has won local awards as well. The topography affords dramatic elevation changes on the Canyon Course, more subtle variances on the Vineyard and total seclusion on the Ranch nine. The courses feature larger than average bentgrass greens, Bermuda fairways and quite a few difficult bunkers. The long par-4 third on the Ranch, for example, has a series of five large fairway bunkers down the left side and bunkers left of the green as well. Steele Canyon Golf Course also has a driving range and putting green as well as a restaurant and golf shop in the clubhouse. Lessons are also available.
