Named New Jersey’s best new public course upon opening in 2001, Crystal Springs Resort - Wild Turkey in Hamburg, New Jersey, is a 7,202-yard, 18-hole course that is part of CSR’s award-winning, six-course resort. Designed by renowned golf architect Roger Rulewich, Wild Turkey is Rulewich’s second design at Crystal Springs Resort after his magnificent Ballyowen links course. Wild Turkey is a brilliant layout that is routed through two different terrains referred to as basin & ridge. The 3rd hole and holes 12 through 17 are set in the basin area of Wild Turkey with a treeless landscape that is similar to Ballyowen while the remaining holes are more traditional parkland. While it’s hard to pick one highlight at Wild Turkey, the signature, 208-yard 7th hole is one of the best par 3s at CSR with a forced carry over a quarry lake to a heavily guarded green.
