Second TeeOff Tourney at Bull Valley Comes Up Aces

At TeeOff’s final tournament of 2019, golfers returned to Bull Valley Golf Club to tee it up at one of the best layouts in Illinois. Playing in perfect conditions, the golfers crushed drives, sank putts and had an unforgettable day.

It didn’t take long for a TeeOff Tournament to experience its first hole-in-one. In just our third tourney of the season, Kyung Kim dunked one on the tough, 148-yard 5th hole at Bull Valley to record his third ace of the summer. Yes, you read that correctly. Kim, an 18 handicap, has recorded three aces in three months— and two of them came on consecutive days.

Kim joked, “It’s been getting kind of expensive. And now my playing partners want me to buy them shoes in the pro shop.” (… which you should always do for your foursome upon making a hole-in-one)

Kim’s group ultimately came up short in the team contest where top honors went to Team Brady for their dazzling -22 in the 2-net balls per foursome format. Keith Mitsch whacked one well over 300 yards to win the long drive, and Dan Telford slipped one to 4 feet on a demanding par 3 to win closest to the pin honors.

Great times were had by all... And we’re all looking forward to more events like this in the future.
