Kansas City, Kansas Golf Courses

Kansas City, Kansas Golf

Kansas City, Kansas, uses its nickname, "KCK", to differentiate itself from its neighbor: Kansas City, Missouri, but no matter which side of the state line they're on, golfers can experience world-class golf after booking discount tee times. Located on the Great Plains, Kansas City features gently rolling hills with Eastern Cottonwood and native prairie grasses that line the golf courses. Home to PGA Tour's Kansas City Open, Kansas City features golf courses that can challenge the pros, but plenty more that are tame enough for golf newcomers. After a day out on the tracks, tee time seekers can watch cars race by at the Kansas City Speedway or enjoy a meal at a Kansas City barbecue joint.

Opened in 1929 as Victory Hills Country Club, this historic landmark in Kansas City has undergone two major reconstructions. Eight greens were rebuilt in 1993 and the remaining 10 greens were redone in 2013, along with the complete redesign of five holes and the addition of 75 new zoysia tee boxes, 24 new bunkers and two miles of new cart paths. Every hole has a minimum of 4 sets of zoysia tees which offer a wide range of length to accommodate every skill level of player. The fairways have been converted to the new strains of bluegrass in order to provide a dense stand of turf and the ability to accommodate carts in the off-season when weather permits. New fairway and greenside bunkers add appeal as well as the risk/reward in shot making.
